Dr. Firpo-Perretti is a licensed clinical psychologist at the McLean Anxiety Mastery Program (MAMP), an intensive group-based outpatient program for children and adolescents with anxiety disorders and OCD. She is also a staff psychologist for the McLean School Consultation Service. Dr. Firpo-Perretti specializes in evidence-based treatments including cognitive behavioral treatment of anxiety, mood, and obsessive-compulsive disorder in children, adolescents, and young adults. Additionally, Dr. Firpo-Perretti is experienced in providing cognitive behavioral and behavior management interventions in school consultation and parent training formats.
Dr. Firpo-Perretti earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Boston University. She was a post-doctoral fellow at Boston Child Study Center and completed her internship at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center.

Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) with Exposure and Response Prevention is considered the gold-standard for treating pediatric anxiety disorder and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). However, at least a quarter of youth receiving CBT with ERP do not respond to traditional once-weekly outpatient treatment.
